There is something about the start of a new school year that never gets old for me. The fresh notebooks, the new backpacks, the kids walking through the door with that mix of excitement and nervous energy that I absolutely love. Every Fall feels like a fresh start, full of possibility, and honestly I get just as excited as the kids do.

Honestly, no two days look exactly the same and that is kind of the whole point. Sessions are built around what each child needs that day, not a fixed script. Some kids thrive with individual attention in a quiet environment while others do better when they can collaborate and work alongside peers. We have space for both. What stays consistent is that kids are active, engaged, and doing something, not sitting and watching.

You will never be left wondering. I communicate with parents directly and consistently because I think you should always know what is happening with your child academically. We track where each student starts, what we are working on together, and where they are growing over time. Most parents start noticing changes at home before I even have to point them out. Kids who used to dread homework start doing it without a fight. Kids who said they hated reading start picking up books on their own. That is the kind of progress that tells you something real is happening. And if you ever have a question or concern between sessions, my door is always open.

This one comes up a lot and I love answering it. The kids here genuinely know each other. They work together, help each other, and in a lot of cases have built real friendships. One of my favorite things parents tell me is that their child has made their closest friends here. Consistent daily interaction with a stable peer group is valuable for children who need routine social connection. In a small setting like ours it happens naturally, not as something we have to schedule around.
